Season’s Greetings 2022 from The Wang Family

Season’s Greetings 2022

Our biggest news this year is the birth of our second grandchild!  Rachel & Tim welcomed Arthur Buchanan O’Toole into the world on October 8th in Denver.  He’s doing well and his big brother, Oscar (15 months older), seems to be adjusting admirably to this new addition to his family – at least so far!  Barb spent almost a month in Denver helping out before and a bit after Arthur was born, giving them some much-appreciated assistance.

Before Arthur was born, Tim was able to finish one of the bedrooms in their basement which serves nicely as a guest BR when family or friends visit.  He’s done a remarkable job on the basement, doing most of the work himself.  Now back at work, Tim still is doing well as a team leader at Schwab in the Financial Crimes investigation division and is well liked by the powers that be.  He is able to work a couple of days a week at home instead of commuting, at least for the foreseeable future.

Rachel has decided to take a break from work to devote all her energy to caring for her boys.  They certainly keep her busy.  As a former teacher with very much a teacher’s mentality, she consistently plans stimulating activities and outings.

Brianna is completing her 2nd year of medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Denver area on her journey to becoming a doctor.  She starts her rotations in different specialties in July and was lucky enough to be assigned to hospitals in the North Denver Metro area.  When she has spare time, which isn’t that often, she enjoys being Aunt Brianna to her two adorable nephews.

Jacob & Bella bought their first home a year ago and have been busy putting in new windows & doors, new attic insulation, artificial turf and a new kitchen island, among other home improvements.  Jacob is continuing his path to become a pastor by attending Phoenix Seminary while also working as a Youth Pastor at Desert City Church.  Bella is a wonderful photographer and has started a photography business, Bella Wang Photography.

Barb continues to stay in shape by running, swimming and a bit of biking.  She also does strength training a few days a week.  In July she did a Girls Trip with her good friend from high school to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and of course had to stop in Denver to see Oscar (and Rachel & Tim).

Stan just keeps on keeping on with the mortgage business.  As long as he continues to enjoy helping clients, he doesn’t see any reason to stop.  After his hip replacement in August, he started a regimen of walking 4-5 miles a day in addition to his regular workout routine.

In June we took the entire extended family to Toronto to see a baseball game in Rogers Centre – the final stadium in Stan’s quest to see a game in all 30 major league ballparks!  A day trip from Toronto to Niagara Falls was also on the agenda.  Other trips included Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Oceanside for a week on the beach and a mini-reunion with Barb’s three siblings in Dallas.  And of course multiple trips to Denver to see the grandsons!

Best wishes for a joyous Holiday Season and Happy New Year!
